Project Role: Senior Cloud Operations Engineer

Work Experience : 4 - 6 Years

Educational Qualification : 15 years of full time education

Location : Bestech Business Tower, Sector-66, Mohali (Punjab)

Project Role Description : Manage the cloud infrastructure environment through cross technology administration (OS, databases, virtual networks), execution of scripting and monitoring automations. Support a 24x7 AWS, Azure SaaS environment for production and development ensuring site uptime, performance, and customer SLAs. Manage the environment incidents with a focus on service restoration. Act as operations support for all computer, network, storage, security, or automation incidents / requests.

Technical Experience :

• Atleast 4-6 years of experience in administering managing AWS , Azure Windows/Linux environments for global clients
• Expertise in the following technical domains: Windows, Linux, Database (preferably MS SQL Server, MySQL), Storage, Networks, Scripting, Security
• Exposure to Incident, Change, Problem management
• Strong knowledge of the AWS Well Architected Framework(s) and MS Azure
• Good exposure to Monitoring tools like SCCM, Nagios, Sumologic , Newrelic, etc. Experience using Azure Monitor and/or AWS CloudWatch for application and infrastructure monitoring
• Exposure in Load balancing, high availability, disaster recovery, security best practices
• In-depth experience with AWS & Azure, IaaS, PaaS deployments
• Strong knowledge of Firewall, Encryption, IDS/IPS, AV (anti-virus) tools. Experience implementing data encryption at rest and inflight
• Good understanding of system and network architecture, system platforms, system access, database design, SQL queries, and network protocols
• Exposure of CI / CD (Terraform, Jenkins, BitBucket, GitHub)
• Experience in automation of deployment scripts of a web application, DB & Infrastructure
• Experience in maintaining log of critical activities and ensure it is monitored / tracked. Must be aware of log management for S3 Access Logs/ALB Access logs/VPC Flow Logs/ Cloud Trail

• Good communication skills (both written and verbal) should be able to drive, lead and articulate well on CAB calls, client meetings, MIM calls, etc
• Proactively own responsibilities and accountability for day to day operations
• Take ownership of tasks/activities proactively without the need for directions from supervisor
• An ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Good time management skills
• An ability to follow processes
• Strong documentation skills
• Maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's Leadership, key stakeholders, and associates regarding cloud & information security activities.
• Excellent knowledge with ITIL, Information Security, and DevOps practices
